HSS iLEAD™ Program Series

iLeadTo help direct your learning, iLEAD™ curriculum is being segmented into one of four major series:

The 100 Series (Leading Self) is targeted for those just joining HSS and for those who:

  • Direct the work activities of self
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with customers and co-workers
  • Adapt to customer’s culture
  • Communicate effectively

The 200 Series (Leading People / Leading Projects) is targeted for those who:

  • Direct the work activities of one or more people other than him/herself OR executes major initiatives which impact many
  • Provide performance feedback to others / completes their evaluations
  • Ensure work under their direction is executed according to HSS’ established standards / strategies for that functional area

iLeadThe 300 Series (Leading Business Operations) is targeted for those who:

  • Direct the work activities of several people / projects / teams / those managing others (& develops them)
  • Have hiring / firing authority
  • Have budgetary / profit & loss responsibilities
  • Help establish business strategies within their purview

The 400 Series (Leading Strategy and Change) is targeted for those who:

  • Lead, mentor and influence senior managers to carry out and execute strategies
  • Have responsibility for establishing strategy, formulating objectives, goals and policies that provide direction
  • Manage overall budget for area with responsibility for success, expansion and profitability
  • Execute business development activities

Courses within each series will focus on developing different levels of knowledge and skill associated with the six major categories over time. Each series will have a greater emphasis on some of the “pie pieces” which are particularly critical for certain career points or roles.

Each series combines multiple learning modes across “Fundamentals”, “Good-to-Great”, and “Point-of-Need” curriculum. These learning modes include:

  1. Computer-based training or e-learning (via the LMS)
  2. Instructor Led Training classes (activity and discussion rich sessions)
  3. Follow-up suggestions for continued learning / point-of-need development
