Improve Your Overall Security Posture
HSS Healthcare Security is unique among healthcare contract security services providers because we offer two valuable services—Consulting and Expert Witness—to all healthcare organizations, including those that are not HSS security program customers. Offered in response to requests for assistance from healthcare facilities nationwide, these services can put HSS’ unmatched healthcare experience and expertise to work for your facility on an affordable fee-for-service basis.
Want to ensure you understand all your security risks, or improve the security posture of a specific department or your facility overall? Contact HSS. Our consultants will conduct an objective and thorough security program assessment (HVA) that includes:
- A review and audit of your facility’s security management program, including areas such as TJC security compliance; security program organization, policies, and procedures; general risks and vulnerabilities; and security staffing and deployment.
- A written report detailing observations of each reviewed area; comparisons to applicable standards, guidelines, and industry best practices; and reasonable and cost-effective recommendations for improvement.
- The HSS Recommendation Tracking System™, which enables you to easily monitor the status of each recommendation made by HSS in your security assessment. Use this proprietary system to track (a) accepted recommendations, including responsibility and timetable for implementation and (b) rejected recommendations, including what has been done to mitigate the identified risk in lieu of HSS’ recommendation. By eliminating the need to pay HSS to track recommendations for you, this system saves you money.
Expert Witness Services
Healthcare providers must be able to defend their security planning and response when significant security events occur at their facility. These events might be an assault in a parking structure, an infant abduction, or the use of force when subduing a violent or aggressive patient or visitor. HSS Expert Witness Services will help you effectively defend your facility’s plans and actions following these events, particularly when you are facing litigation as a result.
HSS Healthcare Security senior executives have years of healthcare-specific security experience and extensive industry credentials. As court-recognized subject matter experts, these HSS executives can provide guidance following adverse events, review your defense focus, and recommend ways to manage these situations going forward.
