HSS selected as security services provider for Metro Wastewater Reclamation District

Metro Wastewater Reclamation District is a large, stand-alone special district formed by the Colorado legislature in 1961 to provide wastewater transmission and treatment services to member municipalities and special connectors. The district:

  • Serves 1.7 million people across a 715-square mile service area, including Denver, Arvada, Aurora, Brighton, Lakewood, Thornton, and Westminster.
  • Collects 140 million gallons of wastewater per day from neighborhood sewer lines and removes more than 95 percent of the pollutants before discharging it into the South Platte River.
  • Makes wastewater suitable for agriculture, aquatic life, industrial use, water supply and recreation.

The HSS team serving this new customer is led by Program Manager Nathan Churan, a Navy veteran and active officer in the National Guard.   All 15 security officers directed by Churan have military, law enforcement, or security experience to support this critical infrastructure contract. HSS shares the Metro Wastewater Reclamation District’s commitment to protecting the environment and providing for the community’s future needs.
